(Free) Intellectual Property CLE Classes

Attorney Holoubek is pleased to offer free, live Intellectual Property Continuing Legal Education classes to local Shreveport area Attorneys and Judges.

At a time when intellectual capital comprises about 45% of the market value of United States industries (Hassett, What Ideas are Worth, 2011), a good foundational knowledge of intellectual property law is beneficial, if not necessary, for local bar members, even those who do not directly practice IP law.

Therefore, in 2022, Attorney Holoubek is pleased to resume offering a free one hour CLE each month around lunch time focusing on Intellectual Property.

The first four classes will be an Intellectual Property for General Practitioners (“IP for GP”) starter block, with one class each on Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks, and Trade Secrets. This is designed to give the participants a basic foundation in Intellectual Property law.  Continuing classes offer more in depth look at specific areas of IP law and best IP practices that arise for attorneys who practice primarily in a non-IP specific field.  Each class provides key “takeaways” that participants can use to help their clients with IP issues without necessarily practicing IP law.
